John and Marie have been together since January of 1981; they've been married since 1986. John works for Nimbus Design; Marie works for Expert Support Inc.
John enjoys backpacking, running, cycling, and the great outdoors. Marie enjoys knitting, spinning, cross-stitch, needlepoint, quilting, and cooking. We share a love of Native American pottery, New Mexico and the Southwest, the ocean, Los Lobos and the Blasters, reading (although we read totally different things), and our daughter, Shauna.
Here are a few pictures. There are more pictures on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/needleloca/)

Also, take a look at Shauna's page for pictures of her graduation and other stuff.
John's garden went into overdrive this year. Here are a few pictures to give you an idea.

It's kind of a long story, but suffice it to say that Marie's office adopted a litter of stray kittens and their mom in September 2001. They lived in our office for about 6 weeks while they grew old enough to go to new homes. There were five kittens in the litter--two boys and three girls. Shauna fell in love with Sombra and then discovered that her roommates did not want another cat (Tica was enough!). So, Sombra came home with us.
(Newest pictures are first.)

Marie's mother, Theresa Turner, turned 70 in July 2000. We celebrated with a barbeque, croquet game, and presents.
