Shauna's New Kitten - 2001
Here are a couple of pictures of Shauna's new kitten--her birthday present
from her best friend, Melanie. The kitten is female and her name is Tica
(nickname for a female Costa Rican). Tica has no fear and loves
to be around people. Our other two cats are not too happy about having
a rambunctious kitten in the house, but they'll just have to deal with
it!

Shauna's Graduation from Stanford University--2000
Shauna graduated from Stanford University on June 11, 2000. She received
a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies with departmental honors,
plus a B.A. in Spanish.
Graduation was held at Stanford Stadium. Stanford's undergraduates enter
the stadium in the traditional "Wacky Walk"--they wear all sorts of "interesting"
attire with their caps and gowns. This year there were two Chinese dragons,
two Stanford Trees, assorted unusual caps, streamers, balloons, and many
carrying signs.

Costa Rica Pictures--1998
In 1998, Shauna completed a semester at the Universidad Nacional in Heredia,
Costa Rica and then traveled for a month. She was in Costa Rica almost
six months! These were the first pictures she sent home and her original
captions.

On our way
